Login to the AWS Management console and navigate to EC2 dashboard. Choose ‘Volumes’ under ‘Elastic Block Store’ on the left pane. Select the volume and expand the ‘Actions’ menu. Choose ‘Modify Volume’.
On the ‘Modify Volume’ window, change the Volume Type to the appropriate value and choose ‘Modify’.
You will see the message as below. Choose ‘Yes’ to modify the volume.
Confirmation message will appear as shown below :
You will see the changes on the Volumes dashboard
